Super Slime....

We've been exploring the difference between Newtonian and Non-Newtonian fluids.
We got a little bit messy along the way.

The things we found along the way BLEW OUR MINDS!

We made our own scientific discoveries.

Young Scientists

On Tuesday we had a visit from the Street Science team at Newcastle University. They were AMAZING!!!

They talked to us about different careers in science and what they do and then they showed us some really cool experiments. Our favourite was the the spinning optical illusion, you can see our reactions below.

We all really love science so it was really cool to meet people who do science as a job, it really made us think about our future and what we would like to be.

On a cold and frosty morning

The other morning was the coldest we had ever known it! The thermometer read -4 at 10 o'clock in the morning!!! Luckily we still have the hottest classroom on earth. We ventured outside quickly to see the frozen grass and the ice puddles. We only went out very quickly though, and being us, we thought we'd hold a few poses while we were out there!  What do you like doing in the cold weather?

SLIME!

This week's homework is a fun competition!

Today we had a visit from REAL LIFE scientists from Newcastle University. They spoke to us about all different types of science. (photos to follow later today!)

One of their challenges is to make your own slime.

This weeks homework is to complete pages 6-7 in our science challenge booklets and create our own slime! This needs to be returned by Monday 11th February 2019 for our lessons next week.
